Especially a test that determines which colleges you can realistically apply to.

    Other than the obvious, no.
Good luck with your extreme test!
The SATs are harder than the PSATs. I didn't expect such a gap between the two.

It's probably different for other people then.

I remember during one exams week I tried to experiment with what would be more effective when taking an exam, CRAM vs. EARLY SLEEP.
Basically, In one test, the night before, I crammed till 3 AM. In another exam, I got to bed around 9 PM and lightly skimmed my notes before the exam.
Early sleep worked better for me. It made the difference between a D in the CRAM exam and a C in the early sleep one.

Don'tcha just LOVE exams and Tests? Just think of it this way, the guys who made Valve had to do this too. :p
Watch one of us be the next Valve game designer. :p

Hmm, and I wonder why I get straight A+s at my school. :p

I did alright, not an honor student, but I did alright. But I guess I have to mention that I spent my high school years in the Philippines, and I have to admit, our schools are WAY tougher than the schools in the US.
Funny story, I actually got the highest scores in our CAT (which is sorta like the SAT) and actually scored HIGHER than the Valedictorian, and I didn't even study that much for it.

Most of the questions were logic based questions and also general knowledge about natural sciences, so I guess I had an advantage over the vale there. She was one of those "by the book" learners and only studied the topics which the teacher gave.

Standardized are just that, Standardized. It's just a measure of how much you know about the most basic stuff in any given subject.
