In my opinion Death Note was too overrated. It's great but it's just like Naruto...

 

try Durarara or shakugan no shana

they're both pretty good and durarara is somewhat well known

 

Outlaw star, Project a-ko, Space adventure cobra, Neon Genesis Evangelion, aison Ikkoku, Ninja Scroll

are a few that I have actually sat, and enjoyed, oh also Ergo Proxy was pretty good. Have the box set.

 

I never understood the Death Note hatedom. Or ANY hatedom for that matter

 

Do NOT watch Shakugan no Shana, that type of anime is for those who like Femdom. It's a type of anime which sadly takes up 50% of all anime these days. Generic female lead with giant weapon, boy companion who does fuck, overused setting and songs by Mizuki Nana.

You like the 'older' anime, as well? I don't think I can watch any new series. Not watched any series for 2 years now, and I don't plan on starting watching anything new.

Yeah, I'm not fond of new anime, either. =/
I tried to watch some of this 'K-on' and I just raged at how terrible it was.

 

I dropped K-on after the first episode.
Didn't really like it.

 

The last thing I watched was.... Clannad, I think? And it just depressed me how shit it was compared to the original film.

Well, yeah, anyway. I only watch things for their stories, not the medium they're presented, and all of the current anime stories look awful, and have done a long time, so I stand by my anime is shit opinion.

Actually, no, apparently the last Anime I watched was..... Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu.

Which makes it 3 years.

I dunno if you'll like it, but its not exactly new(2000-2001) and definitely different.
Also, incredibly short.
