I just wanted to tug some legs.

I do some like films, and I do like some old series. I haven't watched any anime in like 2 years, but I suppose it's more the story than the medium on which it's told.

Graveyard of fireflies, for instance, is an all time favourite movie of mine, both animated and live action, purely because of how powerful the story was.

Cowboy bebop is terrible and the animation of deathnote was awful compared to the manga, in my honest opinion.

Death Note had no angst at all. o.o
The characters were almost emotionally devoid, save for a few bursts of aggression.

 

Ghost in a shell was okay, I suppose.

 

If you want to watch anime, at least watch good ones, not stupid Death Note or overrated Naruto. Ghost in The Shell is a good one to start off.
