So basically

Instead of leaving them at daycare for 6 hours IRL, I have to spam fights?

6 hours IRL only amount to like.. 5 - 8 levels.
Training them for 6 hours will net you 15 - 20 levels depending on where you train.

 

and it depends on your level

 

6 hours irl can mean no levels. The experience is based on the number of steps you've taken, not the time they've been in there.

 

The only real reason the daycare exists is for eggs, eggmoves and passing over other tuff from 'mon to 'mon.

Plus, 'Mons you train are stronger than the 'mons you give away to the daycare.

 

the second gym, eh? My starter was tepig, whatever...damn, thing doesn't learn any good fighting type moves. you would thought they let it learn vital throw or revenge or something...Dewott learns it instead, which is total BS

...Anyways, I found the dog to be harder than the watchog. watchog is only strong once it uses retaliate (I think the attack power of the move is double after the pokemon before it faints) I was around lv 19 and stuff. Rock Smash away!

 

Oh, so I just need to find some kinda way to hold down the left button to walk infinitely..

Pokemon Black is so linear it blows my brains out.

Not really. It's debatably more linear than every Pokemon game to date.

 

Lol, I hope Bioware or EA looks at Mass Effect and DA and decides to combine the good parts of the 2 and first ones to make the 3 one. While Mass Effect 2 was pretty good, I wanted stuff like inventory items and stuff like that in ME1 and a lot of exploration was lost in making a more linear experience in ME2. Same thing can be said about DA2 but I wish combat consisted more than a couple commands and had more options at the start of the game. :|

yeah, on these versions you can't ACTUALLY progress to the next city 'til you beat the city's leader and it's like that in every city you visit on the game.

which is kinda lame, I guess? ...I dunno, the game was too easy for me to even care, anyways.

 

Linearity isn't that bad, especially since it's a Pokemon game.

 

Black City is awesomely hilarious.
I love how greedy the residents are. And it has a nice BGM.

 

I find it sad...
Reminded me too much of New Pork City...
But the ludicolo I battle daily gives me a good amount of Exp.

In Black city you battle the evolutions of the pokemon you can catch in white forest.
Great for the exp. bad for the collectors.

 

is the exp gain better than E4?

 

But Black City looks awesome (this is IMPORTANT, DAMMIT)and has awesome BGM.
And -I think- you can buy items usually unavailable/hard to find.

I have no idea. But the city is very random/changing.
