Geometry was freshman year of high school for me.

 

Then que up some epic death music. I smell a teachers strike soon enough.
No wait, that's the meth lab out back exploding...Shit people. Later.

 

I'm a freshman... o-e;

 

Geometry was the most pointless math I've taken, and I'm in Pre-Calculus now.

 

I don't even need to take geometry to graduate.. why am I in that class.. o-e

 

It's another math credit and is the next level up as far as the school is concerned. That's all high school is. Getting enough credits to graduate as you move up the pre-set ladder made for you.

I made it a point to skip around that ladder to try and meet a skill level equal to mine. Haven't been too successful. Only one or two classes this year even begin to challenge me.

 

I'll just take the classes they give me.. o-e maybe take a higher-leveled class.. AP.. next year... Just because I'm Asian. ^o^~

 

AP is overrated unless you KNOW you want to go to college. Be sure to know what you're getting into with AP too. Talk to people that have AP courses to figure out how the teachers do things. The one thing that stopped me from taking AP English this year was the fact that the junior AP English teacher is a hard ass grader. I didn't feel the hit my GPA would take would be worth the college credit I could potentially get.

For other AP classes, I was just too lazy to sign up really. My counselors want me to take AP with a perfect 4.0 GPA, but I'm honestly not interested into having to invest myself that heavily into work that I honestly don't care about.

 

Hell yes! With that attitude, you can fight the Hindus for convenient store dominance.


@Drake- Remember colleges are far more selective than ever.

Even taking those boring classes can pad your resume for college.
Sarra is AP, and she keeps getting rejected.
I know she's in Scotland and all, but unless you want to attend a junior college-[spolier]DON'T[/spolier]
take the boring ass classes, just because.

Kalee, a girl I grew up with, never made anything but A's her whole academic career.
Select processing damn near excluded her from anything.

Bottom Line. Tyco is still the best damn toy train/car set manufacture there is.

 

I do want to go to college.. And most of my friends are in AP classes. Well, the non-freshmen anyway. The teachers are pretty chill, it's just that the work is hard to keep up with, but if I can finish my cousin's AP English homework, I'm pretty sure I can take the class..

 

AP seems more lax there. I might be wrong, but it doesn't sound like the teachers grade on a college level like many of the AP teachers here do. For junior AP English, people are lucky to walk away with a C. At max, one or two people a year manage to get an A if anybody manages to get one at all.

GPA to get to a good college > "Oh, you took AP classes? Your eligibility for college is up by a whopping 0.6%!"

Yeah, I think AP classes are pointless hits to the GPA. The college credit is barely worth it, as most college classes are less harsh than some of the AP teachers here.

 

Oregon isn't California Drake.
Oregon State is harder to get into than UCLA is.

 

My cousin's a junior.. I do her homework when I'm at our grandparents'. Her older sister did a lot worse than her in high school, and she skipped most of her senior year, and she was in the hospital for a few months of her junior year... Although she got into a state college with no problem...

 

But it rains here all the time. Couldn't the standards for good weather be the same for college?

Okay, California state college standards sound like nothing.
