Time itself is an empirical artificial construct. Based on a series of random or pre-determined events that occur on a line or axis at any given moment. Illusions are not real usually, but time certainly is, but it is indeed illusionary in nature. Ever fall asleep and believe you've been asleep for hours, only to have woken up in fifteen minutes?

 

Our mind works at double or even triple the rate. When we dream, we recap stuff and try to solve stuff that we couldn't before.
