    How are you doing today?

Sounds like it would be pretty exciting. Have fun getting there.

Life is pretty good. I need to get cracking on my research paper though.

    What's the topic...
    AH man. It's happening again.

Originally, we were supposed to find our own topic for a research paper based upon these basic starters; Gender, Religion, Class, or Race. The specific topic we fixed would have a connection with us in some way. For example, my friend is doing his paper on Buddhism and how it's different being the only one to practice Buddhism among anybody he knows (his entire family is Buddhist too of course).

More important than the connection though, was that it had to be an interesting topic for us to research. If we found it a chore to do the research with zero satisfaction in the information found, then we probably needed a new topic.

I tried to find a topic on many levels. I considered doing a paper on my religious views, but honestly, I didn't want to delve into those in a school paper. I considered class since I've lived in some level of poverty my whole life, but finding a topic to match that was pretty much impossible. I ended up shifting to the default though. We pick a Native American tribe, and research them. This was pretty much last resort if you absolutely could not find a topic.

I ended up going with the Apache tribe due to knowing pretty much nothing truly about them except that through history they were portrayed as nothing but ruthless savages with no reason for their ways. I have some links, but I still need to find a good source on their conflict in Arizona. I get it started with a false accusation of an Apache taking a person's step son, but I lack any information filled source. These don't need to be proper resources though (published material and all that), but any old web article will do.

I don't have the research proposal (that will take time to build my questions), but the literature review will be simple enough. The actual essay hasn't even been started yet.

You'll have two weeks of lazy days to enjoy, or you know, not enjoy. :p

Personally, I'm doing fine. Not the most exciting day, but I have school tomorrow. I love Day 1's because I have Genetics first period with my favorite teacher. Nothing like having a class that is the essence of your scientific interests with a teacher that teaches your favorite way.

    Night dedboy. See ya around.

Oh you know me too well now :p

    I envy you though.
I'm gonna be like SO bored tomorrow!

    Your subjects seem really interesting.
We only have the generic subjects like maths, english etc.
Our school just doesn't have teachers who are qualified to teach stuff like that.
We have psychology and applied maths. That's about as intresting as it gets.
And I didn't even pick them as options :/
Oh well - it's my last year anyway.

    Night, dedboy.
    Sleep well, dear.

From what I've learned, electives (your picked classes if they aren't called that there) are rather limited in the UK. Here in the US, schools offer dozens of different electives, but students also have a lot of choice in terms of what classes they will be taking (even down to core subjects). Although I still have another year to go, many of the classes I am taking this year are technically Senior (last year) level classes. I'm not gonna have much to take that interests me my final year.

To cure the boredom, you could always try to find something to do around town that you've never done before. Explore new areas, all that (provided it's safe, since we would miss you quite a bit if anything happened).

Maybe I shoulda gone over to America for my final year then! ???

There's srsly nothing to do here.
    Nothing safe anyway.
Might just go to the gym. I've become quite addicted to that place now. I get s buzz out of working out till I die(!) :/

I hope you've done all your homework, mister ::)

Although your schools offer less variety, I find the pursuit of higher education is better done over there.
Haha, I know people who love to workout. They really enjoy the satisfaction that comes from a good workout.

Me, not do my homework? I'm offended that you would even think that! :p
