    Howdy.

The only way to fix it is to force change, I'd advise shutting down all electronics in your room at midnight except alarm clocks.

It worked for me when I was going from never sleeping (long story but couldn't sleep) to shutting down at 2am.

Too tempting to check phones/play games/watch tv.

    Friendly and doctorly. :p

A good sleeping pattern is key to feeling awake and full of energy each day though. Did you know that to work properly from day to day, you would need to sleep at least 4 and 1/2 hours per night? That's bare minimum required to function properly day to day.

My body clock isn't perfect. I'll doze off before 11pm, then I'll wake up periodically throughout the night due to my body not being sure if I was actually ready to sleep then or not. It's better than some people's clocks for sure, but it isn't always wonderful.

    HOLD IT

I read 7 was the bare minimum, I feel like shit with any less, and with 8 I feel ok but not great.

I read somewhere more or less than 7 hours is bad for you, so you need exactly 7, read in local paper.

Nah, seven is actually pretty high in most cases. You need 7 to 9 to be completely refreshed from day to day (when you're younger anyways). The four and a half is bare minimum to function properly. Not getting at least that nightly will probably leave you falling asleep throughout the day, or not being able to think straight, concentrate, etc.

Just what i read, something about increasing the risk of some cancer's with less than 7, and more increases melonoma chances...

It doesn't help when I'm going from memory, but that's the bare minimum I remember.

One of my spam buddies changed their body clock to suit mine...

Sure it's nice to have someone of equal thought online, but thing is unless you lack a job and don't study, an american keeping up with an Australian is NOT advised!

    "Size doesn't matter" eh? :p

I actually just learned the bit about sleep (the minimum time thing) from my Health Science teacher. He's Canadian, but he's awesome. It's like a paradox of some sort.

Doesn't EVERYTHING give you cancer anymore though?

Size matters more to guys than girls. ;)

The thing about everything giving you cancer nowadays - apparently Irn Bru contains carcinogens. YET THEY STILL SELL IT!?

    Silly motherfudgers.
