Freshman would be ninth grade for me which is about 15 age wise in the US. AP is pretty much the college level courses. People have a hard time doing really well in AP classes because they're too freaking hard.

And it made sense, don't worry.

oh! I see!
We have AH (advanced higher) here.
And that's like the equivelant to the first year of uni.
It's extremely hard - not fun at all

I've managed to avoid the hard stuff for the most part, but next year I'm taking Genetics + Anatomy & Physiology. It's gonna push me mentally to my limit. Worst part, I have them both as the first classes of both days. (We have Day 1's and Day 2's. They alternate evenly, and we have four classes for one day, and four for the other. In the end, it's eight total.) I really enjoy science though, so I should be able to pull it off.

Have you taken/are you taking any AH classes?

But your subject choice is very interesting!

So yeah, i've taken AH Maths, AH Bio, AH Chem and AH physics.

I basically need ro ace this year or no med school for me D;

Though, that's entirely possible.

Standards for stuff like that in other parts of the world (well, everywhere but US) are pretty high. They really want you to be exceptional. I was told I should take AP Chem, but I barely got an A last year in normal Chem. I don't want to take the AP version. :/

The system is really confusing when just told about it, but in action is really simple. After long breaks though, it can be hard to remember which day of classes it is. Then you have a good chance of bringing the wrong stuff.

I'm not the biggest fan of chem myself. Of course, the teacher wasn't all that helpful either.
