Wouldn't a beam rifle be better than a machine gun unless it has a high energy cost?

(In most games and anime, machine guns are only good on infantry, on other mech's laser weapons are better)

 

Its not rapid fire
And there's no en cost in the game

 

My guess beam rifles are only 1 single direction.
My guess Shotguns would do better when fighting multiple enemies, or at least a spread lazorz

Hrm, that's fair enough, I like rapid fire instead of single shots...shame weapons can't be swapped.

I know in lost planet 2, gattling guns are good (especially when removed and used by hand instead of mech) but laser guns are deadlier...except for the high energy usage.

Some mechs get a damage boost with laser weapons on instead of ammo based weapons...


Em laser is awesome despite giving only 10 shots before the mech shuts down after using all your energy...but one shots disables things...
