But I saw a MGS game where you go into FPS mode to shoot stuff, then back out to walk.

Sort of like Resident Evil.

Also, I've no space on my memory card, and I'm not deleting a game just to test if another game works well.

Make a backup, delete it, copy the new one and test.
Should be easy for you.

And yes I forgot, MGS need to go to FPS mode for better aiming.
