    No, no they don't
The only thing that shows it that you cannot stick with one thing, you need to constantly change, which is bad.

It also shows that you are exclusive to gays, to use "faggot" or "gay" as a negative description and then call someone is horrible, it would be like calling everything that is bad "strait".

    You're the worst -_-

No, staying in one particular genre limits you to whatever genre you listen to, which narrows your vision of good music which can be in several other genres. What's worse, someone who's open minded or close minded?

    You're awesome.

    That's why there's sub-genres

    There's still little variation.

Let's change this to races. Let's say you'll only talk to white people and not listen to any other race, oh, but you're not ignorant of other races because you talk to a white person who's wearing clothes that a stereotypical black person would wear.

Dress it up anyway you want, heavy metal will always be called heavy metal or a variation of metal. Rock will always have the word rock in it. Techno's a bit different because they decided to have so many different names for so many 'different' kinds of music (Techno/Gabber/Hardcore/Trace/drum'nbass etc). Sub genres I find annoying since I can hear a techno song, then someone says "Do you like it?"

'Not really, I don't like techno'

    "It's not techno, it's Drum 'n Bass"

To which I reply, I still don't like it and it sounds like techno to me. In general I don't like any variation of electronic music, there's a couple but meh.

That being said, delving into all sorts of genres is not a bad thing, whatsoever. If you're listening to good music, it's good music regardless. If I want to listen to Protest The Hero, I can, if I want to listen to Aphex Twin, I can, if I want to listen to The Beatles, I can, if I want to listen to Johnny Cash, I can, if I want to listen to Louis Armstrong I can, etc. Limiting yourself to a genre makes you not notice everything else good in other genres.

...Wow...while I don't listen to any of them, I do know of them...

Good choices, I respect your taste...especially gorillaz :)

[me=hYpNoS]does listen to them at least[/me]

    Much agreed.

    I can't tell them apart...

I can tell the difference from regular Techno and Gabber but not Gabber and Hardcore and not Techno and Trance. Drum 'n Bass might as well be called techno. When I first heard of Drum 'n Bass I was expecting stuff like Death From Above 1979, not techno.

(From what I can tell Gabber has a little bit of noise with the bass and hardcore doesn't, but that difference is so damn minuscule it shouldn't be it's own sub-genre).

I'm not challenging anyone freedom to do whatever, I was saying that I think that changing around is bad and that I wouldn't do it.
