Run...? I know but when the gate opens theres that huge horde of zombie thingies. And I'm always out of ammo.

OH!... But for some reason I could not run that far before my partner AI flew across the room

 

Run around, let the zombie chases after you, in hope that it will tired.
..and IF that happen, try headshot it, use several chain attacks.

Be aware of your surrounding, especially those barrels.

 

That's why the AI in the game is lame.

To win at that part, you just need to avoid the enemy for a few minute until help come.
Not to fight.
