in photoshop, you'd make the background first, then expand the canvass, then add the render.

I know what you mean...but I don't know why but every time I try to erase it, it erases my drawing and not the background

 

you are on the wrong layer then.

 

I have to erase the top layer....got it ^^....thanks nex and amulet ^^

 

no... the BACKGROUND will be the very BOTTOM layer, ack i'm too old for this shit... FOTC time.

I duplicated the layer and added to the background copy a Gradient Blur Effect and Hued and Flattened the Image
