Very fun, and amazingly well balanced. The humans aren't the cannon fodder you expect them to be, Predators just kick ass untill they die (they also have the hardest time healing up) And Aliens... They are just amazing once you get the hang of their crazy speed and all-surface-walking

 

I wanna play as Sigourney Weaver...

 

You can't play as a chick! (Unless the Aliens are chicks... I ain't got a clue!)

 

That's debateable.

Sokme say they are just droned females, but a more realistic response is that they are sterile males.


...But in some cases they can change sex, see the Aliens vs predator ending for the aliens.


And so far there is only one game I've known to have you play as Sigorney weaver, that's Alien 3 on NES and gameboy.

 

Are predators hard to play as?

 

In Aliens vs predator, it varies...

I find the aliens hard to play, disorientating...you HAVE to go on ceilings in order to survive, and because of the controls I've gotten stuck to a wall right before a marine...with a grenade...point blank...


But with ether of the creature sides, you must use stealth, if you go out and attack you won't last long if a marine is present.

Been there done that.

 

Predators are probably one of the hardest to get the hang of, but once you got the leaping down and learn where to find their weapons and how to use them then you can do some serious damage with them.

 

I find them easy, just have th right visor, keep jumping, cloaked, and use the weapons effectivly.


I find the marines to be their most deadly opponent, stay at a distance with the (rather cheap) blade of the plasma caster, if you get it close be carful of knock backs-if they have a shot gun one blast and your dead...in alt fire.


The aliens are easy prey, problem is more than one, and if humans are present, ether you switch visors constantly or stick to normal view and run the risk of being attacked in a dark space.

Resize it by 96X96 and then upload it, otherwise romU will auto resize it and mess with it.

 

A good alien will cause havoc. Especially on that temle level with the moving walls and platforms, i've gotten a 14 kill streak myself on that map, and once saw another player get -25- kills without dying as an alien on the same level.

 

I took on 2 aliens and I was thrashing them as a pred, if not for my net I would have scored massivly...instead I was pulled out


But I seen some great ones, everytime I see one with the praetorian skin I crap myself, they always block and have a clue on what they are doing...


I hate getting close to those guys...

I'm debating if I should buy MAG, but I don't think I should considering I'm getting Battlefield in 2 days.

 

Get AvP while your at it, provided you play online it's fun


...I only wish there was more people online doing ranked matches...it's a ghost town...

 

I'll wait until it comes back used at my brother-in-law's Best Buy, he works there and gets used games more then half price off. I played the demo and thought it was boring, I preferred AvP2. That and being the Alien was painful considering that I'd inexplicably get stuck or couldn't transition from the wall to the ceiling properly.

Battlefield will be taking up my game time, the demo was probably the most fun online I've had since CoD4.

 

The alien is painful, but i seen some amazing players online...and the demo is completly different from the real game.

Word of caution-single player is crap, I'm only doing it for trophies.
