Any 3D device that requires glasses is going to fail as people will only be able to use it if they have the glasses, so no inviting your friends over to watch the match or play a game split screen, etc.

3d tv still sucks at the moment.... it will be a long time before they perfected 3d tv.... IF nintendo able to pull off what they call 3DS (3D without glasses), then maybe the TV maker need to check out how it work.

Think of this as HDTV when it first came out, lack of content, for now. That was years ago, now there is HD movies, videos, channels, content. But good thing 3DTVs are thin like HDTVs. As of now, I wouldn't bother getting one, yet.

Thats not really possible, you have to have some method of separating the 2 colours, without them you would not be able to have multiple dimensions. So you cannot get rid of the glasses

3D tvs without glasses exist, Toshiba is making some, so is Sharp, and the 3DS is going to have 3D without glasses.

red and blue\green filter is an ancient technique. nobody uses that anymore. the glasses they are using now are Polarized glasses..

plus there is couple of way to produce 3d images such as active shutter display which is what imax are using and Autostereoscopic what nintendo 3DS is going to be.
