Ok i tried this and i can't seem to get it to work i get load rom errcode=-5 on my R4 with YSmenu. Is it cause it needs a patch? Or is this just not really a fix?

 

try this: did you know you can unlock the R4 BLOCK on certain roms if you say in the DS's microphone "10 83 91 00 ABIGAIL" ?

 

And yes, I confirm it as working. Sonic All Stars and Sonic Classic Collection work, but WarioWare doesn't. So this one's playable, but you have to sacrifice warioware!

 

Sacrificing WarioWare D.I.Y.? Hm, this one's gonna be on a looooong queue, then. I haven't played this addicted on a DS game since Dragon Quest V and 3D Picross, and that was over a year ago! (I got the "achievement" of 10 hours in the GameMaker in less than 3 days =P)

Well, I've played a lot of the original Sonics on my Mega Drive back in the days, so that's not too bad. =)

 

where do i get the ys menu for r4i gold

 

dont know if this will help but according to this page http://www.r4i-sdhc.com/indexe.asp when you scroll down, on lefthand side it gives you software download update ( in this case r4 dsch v1.19b) and a list under neath of the games it can now play with this update, these games include mario racing, classic collection, wario diy, alice in wonderland etc etc. try it what you got to lose. i did and can now play most of the games i couldnt. ;D

 

I don't see why Nintendo (or any company for that matter) bothers with AntiPiracy on the game data, no matter what they do people like us are going to find a way around it. DRM doesn't work, no matter what they do it will be cracked. all it does is inconvenience us for a few days and then we are in good shape again. and usually in better shape then the people that paid for a legitimate copy because the DRM ends up punishing legitimate owners of the game/program. We are always going to get what we want and therefore it doesn't matter. for me I just use the Roms to try the game to see if it is something I will like or if I already own the game and don't feel like switching cartridges all the time to play. My flash cart has saved me many a dollar in wasted funds on bad games.

Not to mention that the more that Nintendo tries to fight it the more people will see it and join the ROM's side... It's sad how human nature is.

 

Using the files I found in this thread, I'm now able to play Sonic and Sega Racing, Assassin's Creed 2: Discovery (same error code), and I assume this game will work too, though I have no interest in it. A clean D.I.Y rom also works with the new files from that thread.

Note: Those files are for YSMenu, they will not work for anybody else.

 

LOL REALLY.... I SHOULD GO DO THAT RIGHT NOW! "rolls eyes" Ok in all seriousness do you have to patch the game before to get the rom to work? Of course since I download the other fix.....

Ok now I'm getting Error code-4 instead of -5.... is this better or worse? Its almost like a count down clock of doom..... Also kind of reminds me of the ring....

Is there any possible way to install YSMenu to my R4 using a Mac? Everything I've seen has instructions for Windows only.
