Sonic Classic Collection AP Chat

The game should run without minimal problems on Ak2i though right? Though I did hear of minor framerate issues on the actual cart, it shouldn't be exemplified on a rom right? Because I plan to buy an AK2i in a couple of hours so I want to make sure.

 

If it could then it would be mentioned in the first page.

 

Ok just got AK2i and AKAIO 1.6. Game works perfectly. I am indeed seeing that framerate slowdown, but it's not that noticeable since I never played the Genesis versions anyway. I'm just happy I can finally play the freaking game, or games.

 

Anybody know an ETA on this firmware? I have it Jap patched but I miss being able to understand what theyre saying

The DSTT site is actually gone down now.
I don't know if that means anything.
Could just be a server problem I suppose.

The dstt site is back up and no new firmware.
Same as ever.
As I said before I emailed them a couple of weeks ago asking them about whether or not new firmware would come out and they never replied.
So it would seem they are not supporting their own product anymore.
I saw it mentioned on a thread somewhere that the official dstt team are not working on new firmware anymore.
So if you don't have a dstt I think it is definitely one to avoid now.

 

the ttds company arnt but people are (unofficial firmware) so not to worry there will be an update soon (1.17a13)

Its probably gonna come out next week since HGSS came out for like a week. So now all attention is diverted to HGSS and with everyone (or mostly everyone) in distress over this issue. I'm sure itll be solved soon.

 

If the dstt firmware will be released. Will the YsMenu also be updated to be able to play new games?

Is anyone working on a patch for R4? Actually I can just play this on my Genesis emulator, but I'm guessing this has better graphics and colour.

Yes and besides, this Classic Collection has one thing the Genesis emulators doesn't: Sonic 3 & Knuckles and Knuckles in Sonic 2.

S3 and S&K by themselves are really incomplete.
