I'm honestly surprised that people still wear watches.

I know Pat has to do this aswell, although I am always angry at him because he has to take his wedding ring off before he goes to work when he does electrical wiring.

I have a mobile for the time, I do have a watch but never wear it, I don't like anything like that. I never have and never will wear jewelry.

And this is what I always thought too.

    Right hand.

Because I'm left-handed and if I write my watch is in the way, if I wear it left.

Digital watch FTW. Build-in stopwatch, timer, alarm and second time zone. Of course also a clock.

It's all what I need. By the way, I got it as a present from my grandma.

Yeah but phones are usually prohibited in secured exam sites here in the United States, just like the Professional Engineering licensure exam that I took last month. Watches however, are permitted, which is what I brought with me to the exam to keep track of time (using the timer feature of course.)

Everyone has phones now, it wouldn't surprise me if watches became quite rare when this latest generation grows up.

That still won't make watches obsolete anytime in the future. Watches still have their uses in certain situations, not to mention they are still much more portable than phones.

No but they are becoming less and less useful. Phones do everything, play music, games, go online etc

And phones get confiscated in certain places, like universities during exams and midterms.

When I was young in the 80's I had a calculator watch and had to remove it for maths tests, by the time I got to secondary school you were allowed a calculator in your maths exam and I saw something on the news a while back about kids being allowed internet access for exams.
