They can't sue each other because it is irrelevant ;D JohnnieBob, What if I can sue you because you are a human as I am a human and have copyrighted myself ;D

It's not different in everyway, yes both motion controllers use different methods of judging motion, but in the end they're both motion controllers and they do almost the exact same thing in every way. Oh except the Move has a little tiny bit of lag vs the Wiimote.

Ridiculous topic. Sue Sony for using Motion Controllers? Ha!

Nintendo have better things to do, and so do Sony. If one is clearly superior to the other, how is one being copied?

By this topic's logic, Sony should sue Nintendo for using discs for the Gamecube rather than cartridges because discs became popular on the PS1 first....

this is dumb. by this you are saying that whoever created the tv controller should sue nintendo because both use infrared to send signal to the tv. sega should sue sony and nintendo for using cds. atari should sue everyone for making videogames.

One thing everyone isn't taking into account is that companies with patented technologies do make deals with others to let those others use their technologies and as opposed to both Sony and Microsoft, Nintendo placed their camera on the wiimote to track the lights from the "sensor" bar (only has 2 or 3 infrared LEDs on the edges). just looking you can say Sony's Move is Wii for PS3 only backwards (They even copied the shape of the controllers).

Obviously, hence the motion controls. The fact that they are different in build and function is what i referred to.

Utter. Bullshit. You clearly do not have the first idea how move works. Or the wiimote, for that matter.

Yes, they do. Although I highly disagree with your last comment.

In fact if Microsoft or Nintendo decided to use Blu-Ray discs tommorow, Sony would have no problem with that at all (Even though that hey had a big hand in its development).

Why? Because it makes the overall costs of Blu-Ray development and production cheaper. Which means less costs in videogame development for games using Blu-Ray as media. Not to mention Sony would make a massive profit from Nintendo and Microsoft they they decided to use Blu-Ray media.

The same thing happened with Sony with the PS1. By the time they started using CD's, CD's were dead cheap and were a cheap alternative to using cartridges. In the end Sony using CDs cost Nintendo their first lost in terms of sales in a generation.

I meant backwards in the way they both make use of a camera to track lights, the Wii's on the remote and the Move's Eye stationary. On Sony's behalf their hardware is better, unlike the Wii it didn't got damaged when opened (my nunchuck's analog stick still leans a little). I only disliked the navigation controller, the Wii's felt better the first time i got to use it.

the wii does not involve a camera. At All. PS Move operates the same way that a green/blue screen in a TV studio works.

If nintendo should sue sony then sports sciences inc should sue nintendo: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BatterUP
Nothing nintendo release is original nowadays, touchscreen, 3d, all been done before.

If you think the DS was the first handheld with a touchscreen and stylus, think again: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game.com

Nintendo could sue them, but on what grounds? They could say that Sony was influenced by them, by the components of either remote which are comprised of different architectural design based on the interior. The exteriors are physically similar, but they work differently.

Come on people, remotes are not the target here. From what I hear it is the ability to grasp the interfaces offered by each of the consoles that worry most. Remotes have been out for decades, same as televisions and cars. You do not see them suing each other.
