Well, I figured I do some pre-release reviewing as asked so I'll share with you what I know.

Slight Spoilers nothing too experience breaking but if you want to go into it totally clueless don't read.

Shin Megami Tensai: DS takes place in Tokyo and has some of it's famous locations, people who played TWEWY will recognize one of them. You play as the MC, a blue haired, headphone-wearing, second year high-schooler (Persona 3 players may feel a sense of deja-vu) who you can name anything you wish. I'll be personally naming the main character Yamamoto Kagishi, who's been staying in Tokyo with his cousin hanging out with his friends the busty Yuzu and the dorky Atoutsu. One day, while you're hanging out with said friends, the sky turns red and suddenly you find yourself barricaded in downtown Tokyo by Special Forces and demons roam the streets and attack the weak. Through various plot points that I'm currently not aware of, you and your friends obtain a COMP, a DS shaped machine that let's you forge contracts with Demons and fuse them. However the main characters COMP has a function known as a death clock which measures the life span of a person, and quickly learns no one in the barricade has much time at all...

This game takes place over seven days, and those seven days are broken up into 30 minute portions in which you can do tons of things, and each of the choices you make have an impact on the plot. You may save the life of a person you talk to, and kill someone else by talking to them. This will eventually put you on a path, one of the six endings that your characters choices puts them on.

Battle is a cross between Persona 1's battle system, Persona 3's One More System, and an SRPG's movement and planning style. You will go into battle with a main character and two demons that have been summoned by them, going against other teams of demons, and people. Demons are your main custom aspect, they have racial, synergy, and basic skills that can be used on the battle grid (Demon Speed/Teleport), and in battle (Dia/Zio). These demons are acquired at an auction that puts you up against two other people in a bidding war for it. But, be careful, sometimes the demon can be a 'dud' which is a demon with no real skills. There's also some way to obtain more power from the enemies you defeat.

    Interesting, no?

In light of such "Patience dear Padawan as good things come to those who wait."

When it is ready for us to have it will be here. Things do indeed take time and we are at the mercy of the great gaming demigods who provide the game dumps for each rom. So the game is a little late being released to us here.Fire up your favorite console or handheld and give your fingers a good workout until then. It's what I'm doing while I wait for Shin Megami Tensai: Devil Survivor to drop from its perch.

    Mmm game candy *drool*

I usually estimate about 3 days after its release gives time for someone to buy the game, dump it, test it out, then send it out to the scene...maybe it will happen today *hopes*

Atlus games apart from Steal Princess always take forever to get dumped. Just the nature of the beast I suppose.
