Shin Megami Tensai: Devil Survivor

Well, there ARE six different endings...

 

I love this game. It has demons and demons that look like angels [fallen or otherwise] in it, ones that you can actually have in your party. And mythological creatures/gods/goddesses from other cultures. I've wanted to do that for ages, but all I ever got in my parties in other games are people or monsters that don't look like angels.

Also, I didn't have that much trouble with Wendigo at level eleven or so, on either my first file or second [I restarted because I belatedly realized I messed up my character's stats. >>;]. That fire skill [Agi, I think? Dunno why they named it for agility.] helped tons. Plus, I remember somewhat about it being easier to kill a party leader if the other two demons are dead.

Although, I have to admit I don't much like Yuzu. She's nigh always hysterical. I mean, I'm a girl and all, but she keeps on.. squealing.

Bufu = Ice
Zio = Electric
Zan(Garu) = Wind

Wendigo wasn't really that bad, it was easy as you gang up on him at the start killing his two lackys first and then him.
once he's gone the enemys main healer flees, then you can mop up the small fry by killing the leaders first.

for prior training I only did about two other side battles, I was about level 9

 

Rule of thumb for SRPGs... Ganging up is always the best course of action.

 

The idea of Devil Survivor's skill system is you can put the skills anywhere you want provided the character has the right stats to use them. There isn't a single skill that's "For xxx character only" except the racial skills on the demons. Though I have actually been considering putting anti-ice on yuzu if I couldn't crack another D-Race or two.

 

when i do gangup on him he takes out the demons on my teams and the other demons in the area come and circle me. wendigo has alot of strength but he hardly uses ice dance. i dont think any of my characters hit lvl 9. and i dont havee much demons in reserve. probably a lvl 5 ogre but thats about it. i cant really gang up on him cause i do lesss then 20 damage on him all the time and his healers help him. also the pixie comes in 2 moves.

i think im gonna have to restart the game. time is very scarce in the game lol. each thing you do will make you wish something else happened. and im only on i think day 1 still. crap...

 

You should continue play it even you have done horribly wrong at early game to get the 6 different endings..

Wait, when did you get Hustle? Is it like the racial skill Devil Speed?

 

I hate Hustle, Every time you attack you lose 3mp instantly, that includes when your attacked. Uhhh when you fight gang members with COMP's, I think it's before the Wendigo fight, the one in White has it as his Auto I think. It was like 3 days ago I did this so I can't say which gang member it was, so just look at all of them.

 

It's on 2nd day,and a skill from one of the Yakuza.You need to crack it...

Right now I am about half way through day 2, anyone know the different auction rankings you need to unlock sections other than basic? (at 25 right now)

 

but i cant even live for long. i probably have to forget about all talking events and go for fighting only. wendigo is too strong. does the fight end after i kill him?

 

No it is a defeat all demons fight. Really if your characters are about level 9 you can have two of your teams take out the healers in one go. Than you have the third team start hitting him and by time the other demons get to you he is on the run. Bind makes it helpful there (so does demon speed to get out of being surrounded).

 

I'm not sure,and I got 64 ratings on 1st day and 105 on 2nd day..but still no changes....I think.I'm suspending the game at the start of the 3rd day...

You should fully use the Free Battle mode,they can give you a Level that you need in next battle..always use the Hard mode...
and No,the battle still continue until you defeat all demons...

 

ill probably just retstart the game. should all my characters try killing? yuzu cant do much damage. and what should the character build be? i work on str mostly. that wasnt enough to kill wendigo.

 

Hero and Atsuro = Strength?
Yuzu = Magic

I don't know,I put my Hero in balanced stats.But I focus more on strength..

 

Hero is up to the player. As for Atsuro and Yuzu, I've had some nice success using Atsuro as a melee/mage hybrid. Yuzu I'll have to agree is more for magic. I tried using her as melee, no go.

 

I'm agree with you,and it's all depend on your playing style.
