Yes it is a very full possibility, not really for people who are just interested in anthro's but people interested in actual animals in porn could full well want that

I dont think so.. the whole idea seems to be about the personification of animals, of course there will be some exceptions, if they lose their human element then it would seem that the attraction is lost, well.. thats my slant on the whole thing.

From being active on a furry IRC server and being involved in the fandom, I can say many furries enjoy the sexual aspect of it, although it is certainly not the main reason behind identifying oneself as a furry.
