Either one, depends on the patch you download.

Go to that PSX Patches link I gave earlier and download the PPF file for the correct version, and then use the PPF O Matic program to patch the game.

    Okay....

I'm doing the patching thing right now

The "D:\pdx-game.cue" thing on the image is throwing me off. Do they mean the ISO file in my game "Dino Crisis 2 [SLUS-01279] [bin+cue].bin"?

...okay the patch thing didn't work....

should I try a different patch or put in more than 1 patch?

    ...or try the PAL?

    ...I'm really stuck.

So, have you tried using an emulator like ePSXe yet? Just to see if the issue is with the ISO (a protection issue) or if it's just with the method used to burn the image?

I don't think my computer can handle the emulator. I lags just by using WinKawaks.

BTW how do you defrag your comp? My comp is crashing much more often.

Well, the built in defragmenting program in Windows sucks.

I use Diskkeeper 2009. And it has a "on the fly" defragmenter that uses very little resources and helps keep your system defragmented at all timed.

Alright I'm getting the trial version of it.

Back to my screen problem: It's not the NTSU/PAL, and the patch didn't work.

I think I saw 2 different patches in that site. should I put both of them in?

And I wasn't sure if I patched it right. Is the .ppf supposed to be "fused" with the .bin file of the game or is the patch supposed to be in a folder along with image files?

I second this. I don't use Diskeeper though, too hard to find a working crack, I won't say any more though. I use Defraggler instead, pretty small & gets the job done for me.

...I'll try out the trial version of defraggle after my trial version of diskeeper.

Seriously, I need help with the screen problem.

    So... there's no solution?

Ugh... I'm gonna try getting Persona 2 right now. Hope it doesn't get the same problem...

Okay, I decided to use the Emulator and found out that it takes different video configs to fix the screen problem.

I used the Dino Crisis 2 and Capcom Generation 2 ISO files to test this out since both give the screen problem.

P.E. Op. S. Soft Driver 1.18 gives the screen problem to both ISO and looks just like the problem on my PSX.

Pete's D3D Driver 1.77 and the others worked well with Dino Crisis 2.

Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.9 was the only one that worked well with CG2.

What does this mean and how can I use this to fix my problem?
