i agree with you.. anime was pretty dang depressing..

if i add another i'd say School Days (the manga)
i dont kno if it was already listed since i only briefly read through the first page

but yea School Days (manga) was pretty sad.. i liked that girl.. Kokonoha (or something along those lines.. it's been a while since i've read it)

yea it did get happier.. kyo and tohru got together =D (yes!! my fav character.. the cat got tohru n_n) and in short.. sohma family problems subsided and accepted tohru.. (totally hated akito tho..)

so uhh.. ya.. the story got happier and i dont think it was ever sad.. probably when kyo went into true form and all but that's about it i think

 

oh yeah man, that thing got me thinking for a lot of time,

No it's sad throughout the whole movie
A lot of dialogue, but every word is important

 

If I remmeber right (was quite a while ago when I watched it Blassreiter has quite a sad ending type of thing),
Gin-iro no Olynsis also has some sad scenes in it I believe,
Sola also has quite a few sad scenes in it at the end (when you finally understand the story of it),
Utawarerumono could be classed as being sad at the very end,

That's all I know off the top of my head for having "sad scenes or endings" even though I've looked through my MAL list it's still rather hard remmebering over 100 animes and what happened in them

no at least in Transformers there was action, but 5 Centimeters per Second only had dialogue, and dialogue and dialogue
well if by action you mean walking then yeah there's action

its barely described as a verb.....
action....
if that was action...
