We compressed it with WinRAR, it's a program wich can pack files to smaller files so it can be uploaded easier.

Just made an account today to say THANK YOU for this. Been waiting a week to be able to continue to play this game. I had already ordered an Acekard2i but now i can at least play until its delivered.
Anyway rom works on my original R4 1.18. Although i haven't played enough to know if there are any lingering freezing issues. But at least now i can actually play it instead of it freezing every 3 events after beating Whitney.

If so after how many events?
I read in another thread it was some 150 events or so?

Okay, so I downloaded the Rudolph's Uni-Patch and now I have HG.bak file as well as SS.bak file. Do I rename them to have .nds at the end or leave it as such and place on my M3 Real?

Pokemon Soulsilver, and Heartgold patches tested on the following and it works:

r4 iii upgrade 1.18
r4 original 1.18
r4i gold
r4 ii
Cyclods

it works with YSmenu latest.
which means it will most likely work with R4-III
and the .sav works if the name is the same

I patched the game myself. Everything was working fine up until now. The game just froze in middle of characters running. But the good news is that i was able to play about 2 and a half hours before that happened, while with un-patched version i was able to play for about 10 minutes before it freezes. I'm playing on DSTT 1.17v. Thanks for the patch man

this works absolutely perfect for me, i have an r4 sdhc (clone) with the latest 1.18b firmware, used my save from the J translation (all 16 badges and Red defeated) and works a treat, playing 2 hours without a freeze. Thanks alot to the creator and thanks Kiekoes for bringing it here!!

I must have a different R4SDHC, I'm using firmware v1.32 and my firmware comes from r4sdhc.com. Maybe my patches are screwed up. Can someone mirror the pre-patched ROMs for me? Mediafire is forever giving me hell and I prefer other sites.

No, I just removed my previous non-patched (U) ROM and I put the pre-patched version of HG on my SD card and made a new save.

In that case I've come to the conclusion that my card probably isnt an R4sdhc.lol. so many clones i have no clue what mine is now not sure what one this is but it does have "R4 Upgrade Revolution" on it aswell as "r4i-sdhc.com" and the latest firmware is 1.18b. So whatever card that is IT WORKS.lol

I'm getting errors when I try to download the pre-patched HeartGold(U) version, but I managed to download the pre-patched SoulSilver to test and will be doing so right now. It seems almost too good to be true!

edit: Started a new file and have gone to 40 events with no freezing, then I saved and restarted - my save loaded up just fine. I'm using an original (non-clone) R4 and firmware v1.18 without YSMENU. I'll report back if I experience a freeze.

It working perfectly fine for me so far. Im using an orinial R4 with the 1.24 Kernel from R4li, no YSMenu
