Yup, rename it correctly like:
HeartGold.nds
HeartGold.sav

Extract it onto the the same folder as the clean ROM. Then go ahead and run the patch.exe

Wow.. I am so confused with so many links and patches and all that x_x I downloaded a patch and Pokémon SS in Japanese and patched it and it's working awesomely (except wifi isn't working, so far that is the only thing I have noticed not working.) but what are the pre-patches for and all the other patches? Which should I download and all that.. There is no proper guide/tutorial of how to get the right version to work if I have to be honest.

wow, i cant test the patch till the weekend, which is coming in 2 days! i got banned for like 2 weeks because of my report card

r4 orginal v.1.18 works perfectly no black screens or anything i got the pre patched version and havent done anything to my r4 and works all good thanks a bunch

I'm gonna enter some doors (20/10 times) and see if it works.

I get a white screen at loading with the R4 SDHC 1.34.
Maybe the PANDORA will fix it.

Try switching the R in the top left or right corner from green to red or from red to green.

It is on RED, PANDORA gives a white screen.
I think I'm gonna repatch it.
