i got the same problem that ive always had
my saved file gets corrupted and deleted after it has been saved for the third time
i have an R4i neo revolution kernal 1.34 no YSMenu

I played it a bit all the way to the first gym, got first badge, did more than 20 events, and even got in wifi!

and its on R4 DS with YSMENU. as expected

this GAME so far worcs on my m3ds simply
(silver)

i havent downloaded the HG because the linc timed out for me

but now that the internet hash has cleared up

i am sure it will worc fine

on m3dss firmwire 1.14

So, once the program says patch complete, do you use the original .nds file, or the new .bak file and rename it to .nds?

I'm assuming this patch works on my R4 SDHC cause before it I played a patched Japanese version and got to kanto and when i tried loading my save i would get an all black screen but with this patch my save loads will see if I can last long without it freezing!

SoulSilver works perfectly on R4 with YSmenu. Thank you soooooooooo much!!!! HeartGold Pre-Patch link is broken, but it doesnt matter cus SoulSilver is the best

i downloaded prepatched soulsilver without a problem but the download for prepatched heartgold doesnt seem to be working if u wouldnt mind re-uploading it that would be great thanks ;D

Try reformatting your MicroSD and try it again.

Update to newest firmware 1.17a12:
1. Download 1.17a12 from http://gamewiki.jp/uploader/dsma/src/dsm0107.zip.html
2. Extract it, put all the files (except the readme if there is) into your MicroSD.
3. Download 88.zip from http://loda.jp/dsm/ (Click on 88.zip and then on the yellow arrow)
4. Extract the file and put Extinfo.dat, Infolib.dat and savlib.dat in the TTMenu folder.
5. (Re-)Download a pre-patched copy and play!

Working 100% fine for SS on my DSTT with 1.17a12 and without YSMenu.

Been playing it for the last 5 hours straight and not a single prob

nope not working for me and i was trying out the soulsilver rom and all the toons look like black blocks or black blocks with lines but im using no$gba v2.6a so maybe my setting are not set right :'(
