If it's the contacts the r4's menu wouldn't even let him get this far.

The extentsions make no differance-(U) is region-U is american-and (xenophobia) is the name of the dumper-dumping team that gave us the rom.

but, sometimes i have my R4 dirty, then my dslite/dsi wont pick them (1 time i were lucky, my dsi saw my r4i upgrade as mario kart ds, the dsi was on v1.04)

oh yes, it wont do it anytime again (if it was, i let it dirty )

 

1.Should keep it in a case of some sort

2.Keep it in your ds if it's all you have

3.The error was game start up-not r4 start up-blowing won't help if it freezes mid game.

 

1. i have no case

2. i can put it in my dslite and dsi, but i have real cards too, and i have 2 r4

3. my r4 is too old, must blow it off, ds dont pick it otherwise. my r4 was new, it freezed intimidatly (cant spell it)
and the 2 ds's are too old (dsi not)
