Rivalry:Sonic or Mario

Sonic has a high velocity whilst Mario has only power ups for his abilities

 

Sonic does not need power ups to have super speed
Mario only has an ability to jump on people without power ups; sonic can jump on people with his spin jump which requires no power ups

 

But the fact that they need powerups are irrelevant. The fact is Mario DOES have power ups, and thus will be considered with them for this discussion

Given this, that means any Sonic power ups are also considered, including his 7 chaos emerald whatever they are's.

 

no matter what power up mario has... if they was in a fight to the death then sonic with his super speed / super sonic with cahos emeralds would just blitz mario i mean theres just no way mario would be able to keep up with sonic's speed & his spin dash's & homeing attack (thinking about sonic adventure 2 battle) yes i do like them both but if i had to choose one then...

Sonic's speed definitely is an advantage Mario can't overcome. Unless he gets his hands on an uber big power mushroom, you know the one from The New Super Mario Bros. game. With that he can just compensate size over speed & merely step on Sonic but there is a catch, it only lasts several seconds.

Also Mario can counter Sonic's Spindash attack with his own spin attack.

 

Aaagh but Mario could not counter Chaos Control; Sonic could send Mario to the centre of the sun if he wishes
And i'm supporting whichever side is 'losing' or is challenged before I post in this topic so if Sonic is winning i'd have to support Mario and vice-versa

Go back a page, you'll see that it was because Deathbreakers complained about it's mis-placement.

I for one feel that this should go to the Gaming Lounge instead.
