Rivalry:Sonic or Mario

mario has a better theme song ...
hes italian
chicks digs the stache
he has hops
and hes nice enough to feature sonic in his olympic game

 

Mario is the best. Even in m n s olmpic games mario is the best cuz he italin. Sonic games get boring so fast no kidding. I played sonic for 30 mins then just deleted it but i play mario til i finish

 

Sonic. get 7 chaos emeralds, then maintain your ring count over 50 and your invincible for the whole leve. in mario if you find a star your only invincible for like 20 seconds or something. also super sonic can fly around and looks like a supersaian. dbz used 2 b cool

mario is good but sonic leaves him in a cloud of dirt as he speeds by.

gameplay over theme songs my friends and i personally hate what the sonic series has become. mario games on the other hand are just plain good fun. in the last 2 years alone i have played through mario 64 nsmb the original one for nes(thank you romulation) and sm galaxy and all of em rocked which is way more than i can say for any sonic game

 

The one thing that Mario games have over Sonic games is re-playability. I have cleared countless levels and saved Peach innumerable amounts of times with Mario. Mario has something different in every game. New abilities, new levels, hell, sometimes new characters, and even new enemies. Mario has stood the test of time, and will continue to do so.
Sonic on the other hand.....well.....I have difficulties playing through one game. Not from a challenge stand point that the game is too hard......no.....from an interest stand point. There are only so many times you can roll down a hill before it just gets old.....like 2. So by the time you get through the first level.....you know what the rest of the game is like. And another thing, how many times do you have to kick Robotnik/Eggman's ass before he finally says "To hell with it, I can't win?" Seriously, how retarded (no offense to retarded people) does this "evil genius" have to be, to be able to make a fortress that can hover, huge, dynamic warships, and countless robots......but can't beat a freaking hedgehog? I know , some of the rest of you are saying "What about Bowser?" I know that Bowser is Mario's main nemesis, but Mario games do not always have Bowser as a final boss. Sonic games always have Robotnik/Eggman.

Okay. Let me get this straight. You would rather have better music that a better game? Well, let me put it like this......let's say for instance you have your choice of 1 out of 2 cars. Car 1 is a Ford Pinto, with a really kick-ass stereo system in it. Car 2 is a brand new Porche with a cassette player and has three busted speakers in it. Does music matter to you now? I doubt it.

Bottom line: Mario = awesome. Sonic =bleh.

 

Haha, we have opposite opinions.
Mario is always the same my friend, jumping on heads nonstop... No. Running around at high velocity, collecting rings, attacking enemies, scaling walls, now that is the classic Sonic type, but then there's Shadow the Hedgehog, not just eggman and there's so much to do, it's kick-ass! Now Mario only has 2 types of games, Mario 64 type and Mario NES type which both are omega repetative.
Sonic has NES style, Shadow style, Heroes style, next-gen style, etc. And eggman isn't always the same boss, there is also loads of unlockable sonic characters if you play enough...

when i said this i was just saying the music was better.

sonic has way more replayability as you are always striving for the fastest time and theres always the chaos emeralds to get by meeting the condition in the level to play the final boss and it isnt always egghead/robuttnik. the highspeed action in the rush games were as fun as hell. and one last time: I WAS JUST SAYING THE MUSIC WAS KICK ASS O.K!!!

I've played the games he's made, cjdogger, and more or less I enjoyed it.

I think the review was right on the money, though. Sonic had a good run but is dead now. Like the Silent Hill series.... another good silent hill will never be released D:

sonic epics adventures goes from the fact that we liked to play running withour friends and all

and Mario was born from the fact when we were playing adventure games when we were kids so these guys are incomparable ;-)
