Rivalry:Sonic or Mario

doesn't count same games petty much.

the reason it says wa befor there name is because it means evil or bad or somthing like that

 

Wario is an Anti-Hero though.... We don;t know about Waluigi...

well done you noticed that but realy its because wa mean bad/evil when they made wario it is like a pun type thing as it is an upside down m and mean bad/evil. thats why you get waluigi not 7uigi

 

Mario has more games and sonic is just.....weird with all that running up walls and on rooves and....

id have to go with mario. i absolutely LOVED super mario world, and all the secret levels and dif. ways to beat levels. the whole map idea was genious, something that sonic never really had. thats a big reason i like mario. they kept the main maps. ie. the castle in mario 64, the map in super mario world, etc. etc......

 

during the saturn/ps1/n64 era, it was more of mario vs crash. crash bandicoot was the popular game that was having great sales for the ps1 and many considered it to be sony's mascot. there were even commercials that used crash bandicoots mascot to promote sony games and console. however, i believe crash got crushed to death when mario was released for n64 [that is at least in my p.o.v]. upto this day, i don't believe there is a mario vs ... any more as mario has killed them all.

overall, mario killed sonic as mario still does the same game in various forms and still conquers all.

I have to say Mario. Never really liked the Sonic games... Although, to be honest, Nintendo seem to be milking the Mario name too much. I mean, come on, from platforming to Baseball and Football (soccer).

 

Mario games are cool like Mario Kart DS, but i like the character of Sonic better.
If i had to choose it would be Sonic but, Crash Bandicoot beats all .

 

i use to prefer sonic as i was a Sega user back in the day
but sonic is now all used out
so I'm opting for Mario as they have grown with time

Well this is more of a fanboy type of topic
Although mario is WAY more popular and is still populer after so many years
Sonic is still also around and has been in many games but unfortuantely Sega just couldn't survive against Nintendo
Personaly I vote for sonic since he is WAY cooler than Mario but alas this is more of a fanboy question then anything else

 

In my opinion mario is a insane plubmer who gets high for hitpoints (mushroom pun) and gets his kicks for jumping on turtles. And sonic a really creepy hedgehog who likes to run way too fast and has a need to steel rings. plus he likes to befriend creepy clones of himself with annoying voices. A.K.A. Tails

I like Sonic because he is the reason the Shadow game was made, which is awesome!

 

well each of the characters except a few, if you take away one feature they all look the same. Tails,Knuckles,amy,sonic they all look the same the list goes on.

 

how can anyone like sonic over mario sonic is fun for first 10 mins then gets boring. with mario the platorm action is so much better
