Rivalry:Sonic or Mario

That is true though, in the old Sonic games, you could just speed up and almost finish the level. But I change my vote to Sonic.

 

Just because you could speed up really fast was only half of the gameplay. You still had fun little obstacles to overcome as well.

 

I like them both equally.

Still, they're both great games. I'm sure lots of you guys have grown up with both of them and enjoyed countless hours killing Bowser and beating the crap out of all Dr. Robotnik's creations!

 

Did you guys notice that MOST of the time in Sonic games, you hold onto the RIGHT button for way too long? Its just like you're zooming through the level. You rarely press the jump/left or any other button, but thats what makes the Sonic games fun!!

Well Ive been way to busy with helping my parents with chores, and i have tons of homework nowadays. Plus, I use to come on a lot, but I discovered that I spammed too much. So i want to spam less now

Spin dash cuts through Mario's Arse so I choose Sonic 50 rings + 5 emeralds = 1 dead plumber. ;D

 

Sonic would beat Mario no contest because in Olympic games most compitions are based on speed only thing I think they would tie on is most unrealistic jumping noises.

I was laughing when I saw a screen for mario and sonic at the olympics and the competition was sprinting, seriously what the hell

 

There would be no Sonic if it were not for Mario. That is because there would be no gaming if it were not for Mario. Give the "man" the props he deserves.

As for Sonic, what exactly made him "cool"? The finger waggle? Good lord. Not to mention he makes little to no sense... granted, Mario is whacked up too, but that's just the world he lives in. Alternatively, you could say it's a normal plumber's drug-induced dreams.

But Sonic is just... what? First of all, he is in no way a hedgehog. Hedgehogs are slow, fat little things. And while they do have quils, it's more a "fur" of them, they aren't spikey. Sonic is more like a porcupine in that regard. He's blue for some reason. He wears sneakers but nothing else, which I always thought was a little creepy. And what in the world is with Robotnik? That's just baffling.

In the end, they're both odd. But one is worldwide culturally significant, the other is only significant in gaming culture.

I think that sonic is probably better, and he would kick mario's butt in a fight any day

 

i do have to say don't you think mario is awesome just for having a beasty moustache how many other hero's have one

Did you notice that WARIO, make the W upside-down, is MARIO, buy WALUIGI isn't LUIGI upside-down, but MVLUIGI, and Waluigi has an u[side-down L on his hat...
