I've heard of this riddle, the only problem with it is that there are multiple answers making this riddle rather challanging to get correct :-\

Either everyone who needs to be shaved are infact a barber themself, the barber is female and or the barber goes unshaven, many people have many different answers for this riddle, who knows what the real answer is :

A boy was at a carnival and went to a booth where a man said to the boy, "If I write your exact weight on this piece of paper then you have to give me $50, but if I cannot, I will pay you $50."

The boy looked around and saw no scale so he agrees, thinking no matter what the carny writes he'll just say he weighs more or less.

In the end the boy ended up paying the man $50. How did the man win the bet?

Fine, another one:

You are standing in front of a room with one lightbulb inside of it. You cannot see if it is on or off. Outside the room there are 3 switches in the off positions. You may turn the switches any way you want to. You stop turning the switches, enter the room and know which switch controls the lightbulb. How?

Uhhh, my brother says you have turn 2 switches on and one off. Before you enter the room, turn one more off. Apparently you touch the lightbulb and you'll know the answer. I'm skeptical of him.

Also, if it is warm, but not on, the last switch you turned off is it. If activated it has to be the switch left on. If it's cold and off, the switch you left in the off position is correct.

Is that right? I bet him $5 it wasn't...


My Riddle:
You are in prison under the reign of a tyrannical king. However, the people want you freed. So the king strikes a deal - he puts 2 marbles in a helmet which you can't look in. If the marble is white you go free. If it's black, you die. The king (being tyrannical) puts 2 black marbles in the helmet. Remembering that you can only touch the marbles, how can you trick the king and get freedom?

 

Take out one, say you chose that one, then take out the other one and show that its black, therefore they can presume that the one you picked was white

 

Yeah, I suppose that could work.

The answer I got off the book was that you swallow it and then when they take out the black, by logic, they have to assume that the one you swallowed was black XD
