    Here is a good one

Which is the word in English that has nine letters, and remains a word at each step even when you remove one letter from it, right up to a single letter remaining. List each letter as you remove them, along with the resulting word at each step.

there may be more than one answer but i only know of one

    Startling.

    Here's another one.

    I am a constant.
    Yet I change with time.
    To the constant nodding,
Of the subject of my Eye.

    What am I?

When you have me, you feel like sharing me. But, if you do share me, you don’t have me. What am I?

A person on a ship asked for a cigarette lighter.
    Nobody had one.
The person yelled out " I'm Gonna Make This Ship A Cigarette Lighter!!"
    How did he do it?

    Here's one:

A pro golfer has the unique ability to only putt 3, 5, 7, or 11 feet. In a tournament that requires him to win in the least putts, he arrives at
the 18th hole and whacks a shot that brings the ball 20 feet away from the hole. At least how many putts are needed to get the ball into the hole?

    2, 11 foot putts.

The remaining 2ft doesn't matter, so long as the distance is less than the sum.

you've got it right, but the real reason is that it has to be exact. If the amount goes over, then it simply rolls around the hole.

Two shots are needed, but you can angle the putts to make it 20 feet.

    another one:

You stay in front of three doors.
In two of the three rooms there are sheeps.
In the other one there's a car.
Of course you want the car.
Now you may select a door.
Then another person opens a door, that you didn't select, with a sheep.
There are two doors left now.
The person ask you to change or not.
    What will you do??

    Look out: it's tricky...

    on top of that....

A farmer decides to enlist the help of two boys to plow his 10*10 field. He hands each boy one half and sets them to work.

Now the first boy plows at a rate of 10 squares per hour, while the second boy plows at 8 squares per 45 minutes. Once they're done, the farmer pays them $100. How should they split it fairly?

You took that one from Prof. Layton and the answer is 2 times 11 ft. because you play in an angle
