    Re: resident evil 2...on ds...theroies?

...unrelated to topic...but I shall acknoledge.

No idea what nintendo is doing, but like the pokemon colosum games they may want it for home console only, we have the homebrew one.

And...metal gear solid is 1gb of a game-to condence that is hard...and they had the lunar knights game, made by the same people who made metal gear solid.

A good game...but I prefer boktai 2, the stealth elements work in that game.

    On topic (sorta)

I'm gonna change the topic name to reflect that we've establised the ds requirements, however...

One that interest me, resident evil 2...on the wii...

They have the archives series, 0 and 1 are ported, but will they port the wii port...or prehaps do something worthy...if they do..I'm buying it :)

Chance are if this game will happen it will be a DSi game because, correct me if im wrong, didnt they say there would be DSi carts with more memory (possibly 500mb maybe even 1gb)

    Not will, might.

But that might be a good point it they make bigger carts....but still.

The original resident evil, being over 400mb, managed to fit as a 128mb file, majour work converting it.

To make it work on the ds normally, a 256mb cart, with prehaps one story...a money maker ::)

Of course if you want it tight both stories COULD fit, wether or not both playable character's could is another story, even if the size isn't that big...it'll be something to think about...

DSi only carts may open new possibilities...if capcom see an interest, but with resident evil archieve series on wii, it might be better if it's just on the wii instead for now.

suggesting two games a RE2: Claire And RE2:Leon makes me feel like im choosing between two pokemon games

I thought of that, however if you played the original game ether story can be done with the other character.

Thus Calling them "ada story" and "sherry story" would be better since those are the main npc's you follow in ethier case.

    s
thats true but even still i feel like its 2 different pkmn games
They should (off topic) just port RE3 and then work on RE2 seeing as that may take time to make and Nintendo should also get bigger cards
maybe then we'll see better games and even ports with no removed content and more feature i.e RE2

    I also considered re3 a decent port.

You know what...it's just a shame that resident evil ds never made good sales, they used that as a guage to test if it's even worth bothering with making another resident evil port.

On the wii it works strangly...

really RE:DS was a test thats just plain dumb. why must they always test a game.
do producer/companies ever pay attention to Rom downloads cause if they do that may inspire them.
plus why would they execpt a ds game to make great sale only pokemon and megaman get those sales. as well as few other games

It was a fair bit better than the original, not only does it feture some content from the director's cut version, but it had new features...

It's like dead space on wii, it's a good game concept made to see if people take interest.

    Dead space failed sadly :(

And no they don't, rom downloads actually hurt them dollar by dollar, just one game stolen makes anyone cringe, just because there is interest means NOTHING if they don't make a profit.

Or lost sales...I bought my copy of resident evil ds for $10AUD...that's an insult considering it it was brand new, sealed...and sitting on the shelf of jb hifi.

The ds was aimed at new gameplay possibilties, right now nintendo and other companies are focusing on games idea for it, and after resident evil ds (a great game but not taken notice) I don't think realistically we'd see another...because it's gonna be over looked.

wow $10AUD new that does seem like an insult sadly the only way i could get one is be traveling 50 mile to a different city but really even if it means a of sale they should still consider rom download counts.

I really wanted a RE2 and RE3 for DS. i dont really like classic RE but i do like the REmake

Remake was awsome, I'm glad it was nintendo only XD

That wasn't a sale, that was just something that had been on the shelf gathering dust for years...I got that around june last year.

I do remember when the first time I bought it (when it first came out) I enjoyed it but...I felt it didn't do justice since I played remake...so I returned it.

I wonder if I wasn't the only one who done so...

yes i've seen it and it looks pretty cool. i don't think it's impossible for the ds >.<

It was considered for the GBA, why not for the DS? The DS is at least 4 times stronger than the GBA and the DSi at least 16 times stronger.

I doubt capcom ever check out foyums to see what gamers have to say, complain, or request. let alone a forum from a rom site
