I can run Tiny 7 if you can find that and my computer is rather old. :p

I would recommend ArchBang! personally. It's fully customizable. ArchLinux if you want to do it from scratch and not use OpenBox.

what the hell?!?!?!? you haven't tried windows 1.0?!?!?!?!? good god. it's like the best OS ever! it has support for floppy discs!!! and you can't install any other OS unless you get a floppy disc because CD's weren't invented in that time!

    I don't have a floppy input though...pretty useless...

Too bad VMWare Player doesn't have a Easy Install feature for that one. It's hard to install.

I personally already have Windows 7 Home Basic installed on this laptop (VM) and it runs fine. Almost full speed (like every other VM)

Some OS' are not hard to install, but some are.

ArchBang! is one of the harder ones. It isn't installed like 1-2-3.

using vmware easy installers does not count as installing an OS.

How so? You basically give the information to VMware and let it install the rest.

But can we get on-topic and suggest OS'?

... because its doing it for you?

But you give it the information it needs to have for installation.

It removes the need for doing all these tasks, and having to input the same information again.

And by not doing them you don't learn anything. Plus you only enter the information once either way.

Maybe i should tell ya how to install it without the help of VMWare Player :p
Just create it as other, and give it enough disk space/processing power/RAM and then choose not to use a disc yet, then go to the VM's settings, and tell it to use the ISO(or disc) of the OS, then start up the VM, and install :p
If you can do that, then tell us... Anyways, i found a nice lil' site that may help ya :p

Why must I learn from it? I don't log the installation process, only how it runs...

I know that, but I always am too lazy to go through all that AND install it manually :p

I don't follow installation processes, I follow how the OS works for a project on school...
