How to Patch :

DOWNLOAD PATCH MIRROR

1. Rename original ROM into xpa-mal3.nds Put in same place with xpa-ml3.bat, xdelta.exe, xpa-ml3.crack.
2. Execute file xpa-ml3.bat
3. Wait until :
Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story crack by Xenophobia
Patching...
Done
Press any key to continue . . .
4. Play with new file xpa-mal3-cracked.nds

I can confirm the xpa patch works perfectly for the Supercard DS One. You just have to uncheck the 'enable patch' box, nothing more. I am 2 hours in and played off saves.

 

Got a cycloDS running the latest firmware, and using the AR Cheat, but when I load the game up, I just get a white screen.
Tried the patch, it says it can't find xpa-ml3.nds in the directory (It's there.) and taking out the .nds from the filename gives it a checksum error.

its really not much except for more animation moving in the file selection screen so people will still say ive done nothing but i have. if you want me to upload it,i will

oh,and the mic test works. this game only works in YSmenu for R4

Hey, just wanted to thank xlaw888 for posted up the steps to fix it.

Seems to be working so far on my AK2i.

 

The supercard fix I posted above seems to work, but it freezes every time you finish saving. It saves fine, but you have to restart the game every time you save.

 

with the crack it seems to be working fine on the ez flash V, just saved and its still going good.

 

Make sure the rom isn't trimmed. I made that mistake and got the same result as you.

 

rename to xpa-mal3.nds, and it should come out xpa-mal3-cracked.nds

Actually, it seems to work with any of these cards-

Supercard DS-One
AK2 (using AKAIO I guess)
EDGE
EZ Flash V
CycloDS

 

I can't confirm any cards besides supercard, just going on what others say. AKAIO is a custom firmware made by the same person who made the fix code- Normmatt.

 

I heard it worked on the CycloDS with just using the AR codes. Someone mentioned 1.41 firmware earlier in this thread too.

 

Emmakite: Use AKAIO Proper REPACK 1.4.1. with fixed loader for AK2i & bypass code.

DarkJake: Mariosonic (sort of infamous here...), & myself are working on a fix for R4. If that one starts working fully, most likely, it will work the same for you. Pretty sure CycloDS already works. Most Anti Piracy AR codes work with it. Try to find an update or something.

So far, much progress has been made. He was able to fix the mic test screen earlier today. Not long ago, I have gotten the game to unfreeze at file selection, but only on R4 firmware, which freezes before gameplay (which isnt anything new, it did the same on Japanese). We are working on "White Screen" error now.

 

does that work with the DSI 1.4 ver.?
