Unfortunately I haven't had the luck of installing YSMenu my DS, I spent hours reading instructions following them step by step, none worked for me.

The instruction on GBAtemp[ http://www.gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=97615 ] led me to: YSMenu works fine, but when I run a game the progress bar of the game loads till 90% or so and stops for all games.

I found another guide [ http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=87149 ] which also works fine, but when I run a game I get the error FatInitFailure error or something like that.

Someone uploaded his YSmenu here I forgot who, also got the same error, I just gave up on YSMenu and decided to buy the game, unless someone could give me any ideas of what I am going through here.

YSmenu doesn't load BIS. Just buy the game... it is faster.

Wait, what patch? If it works for M3, chances are it is going to work for R4 too.

That's imposible...... a few hours early i installed m3 sakura in my m3 and the game doesn't work...

 

I downloaded the patch but in the folder it only includes xdelta, xpa-ml3.crack, and xpa-ml3 instead of xpa-ml3.bat.

 

Aizen, that file xpa-ml3 is the same as xpa-ml3.bat

You just have your computer set to hide the extensions of known file types. *.BAT files are a known windows executable type.

 

I'm still having trouble with xlaw888's method of patching. I renamed the ROM and put it in the same directory as the other files listed, and it is saying

'xdelta' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

Someone please help me, i no this isnt the first post about this, but i looked thru the thread and didnt find anything...

 

well i heard bout a lack of sufficient interest.
seems stupid as this rom opens up much piracy fixes
ahh well i'll just wait when they intergrate Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days with this piracy fix

I COuld not find where the text is located in both the English and Japanese roms. I'm stumped.

 

Ok I`m back, i it gives an solution, but only for users which were klunk enough to buy CycloDS
The only thing that such users have to do is to copy the Cheatlist into the CycloDS Folder this folder where the cheats just belongs.

Ok You copy this and everything is ok.
Ok if you save, the Screen goes with an 50% percent change black but wayne the game is saved and you have only to new-start.

Dude, it already works on the Cyclo. We need it to work on R4, M3 and other clones.

 

Download this, Run xDelta GUI.exe.
Select Patch : xpa-ml3.crack
Select ROM : Mario Original ROM
Apply Patch and wait until Finish. Size of PATCHED ROM will be 89.2 MB (93,613,056 bytes)

 

Well, i had tons of fun with the first 2 games, so i think this game is worth my time.
And judging by the few reviews that are out, it really is a fantastic game.

 

Luga, never assume that someone is stupid because they can't get it right. Maybe, just maybe, the instructions were not clear. I am not stupid in any way, shape, or form, and I had issues with this. I WILL clarifiy this for everyone else, however. This works for AceKard2i only:

FIRST: Download the akaio update and install it (when it says 'file exists, overwrite' YES to all)...get it herehttp://gbatemp.net/index.php?download=5069 OR here http://rapidshare.com/files/278743265/AKAIO.1.4.1.PROPER_Repack_5-4-09.rar

2: Get the loader and install it, get it here: http://akaio.gbatemp.net/loaders/010609/ak2loader.zip

4: I made a folder named luigi (name it anything you want) on my drive and unzipped the patch (which is 3 files-- xpa-ml3.bat, xdelta.exe, xpa-ml3.crack) and the game rom into it. From there, rename the game rom to xpa-mal3.nds and run (double click) the xpa-ml3.bat file.


5: You will see the following in a command window pop up: Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story crack by Xenophobia
Patching...
Done
Press any key to continue . . .

After you press any key your heart desires:

6: Inside that nifty folder you made, is a new file named xpa-mal3-cracked.nds COPY this file to your SD chip.

After many tries and frustration near to tears, I figured out that I had to update that akaio and loader. This wasn't exactly clear in Xlaw888's post, but Kudos to Xlaw....the answer WAS there

Tested and it works for me! I'm so thrilled, and wow it's a fun fun game (stayed up almost all night playing!) I hope these instructions help everyone.
