    Those are generally firmware issues.

If you can return your R4 from where you bought it from, that would be advisable.

Well did you extract the ROMs from their archives with no problems? They wouldn't have had anything to do with the firmware issues you're having.

Darn, i hate the people creating the new R4s... I have many friends who want slot1 devices, so i always order the n5 for them now because i know that the team is still developing carts that will work. I stopped getting the "new and better" R4s...

I thought the N5 was one of the dangerous cards?

N5 isnt better. Get a cycloDS or acekart.

CycloDS' are still available? I thought all the good flashcarts were suppose to be gone from websites like dealextreme.. thats what happened to the original r4 i had...

well i think you can get the original, old cards on ebay if anyone sells em or some other site... but I bet they made the new ones with a whole lot of stuff in it to "make it better" but it didn't

Yes, it has a very high change of bricking. Read GBAtemp's review on it. At the bottom.

Exactly. You end up installing a new firmware either way, so it should have done it.

It could be a corrupt game file. Anyway, you can test the games you downloaded with no$gba (NDS emulator). If it runs the game, then it's the flashcart. If you don't know how to use no$gba, then see this tutorial on it. Should help. :)
