R4 discontinued!?????

    that's an R4 SDHC then, which is a clone. The original R4s only supported up to 2GB (the compatible 4GB cards were obselete from the start so they quickly disappeared and were replaced with the SDHC cards).

    i find my R4SDHC card fine..

    Soon i will look for a new card...

    what Anandjones said at the top about the Cyclo card, that one interests me the most...

    I only just bought an R4 Revolution Upgrade for DS with an 8GB micro SD card.... guessing that would be a clone or something also? Geez, I had no idea. However, that being said - every single game I have tried to play so far works a treat. No lagging, no delays and I still haven't even half filled it! :)

    Some clones are fine but of course the original is better.

    Since the R4 no longer get's firm ware updates the only thing that will save them are things like rom patches and/or YS Menu

    That's old-unofficial-and most of all-annoying to use....it can be worked out-but I'd rather an idiot proof acekard :)

    I bought the origibnal and then the r4i which sucked. I mean, every time you scroll over games the icon just goes to the left and slowly moves back to the right for no reason, and the interface is cheesy! damn clone.

    I agree with that, but it is the only fault I've had.

    However if it had some inbuilt ram it would be good

    You do realise that this thread was started in 2008 and the R4 is not the same thing as the R4 SDHC?
