Just take your time and read the instructions. Yes, it's for doing it without a Pandora Battery, which you have to if you have one that is not hackable (PSP 3000 or 2000 with TA088v3 motherboard).

Well that's how I did it-I lacked the ability to get a pandora but was lucky enough to locate some info about this-the guide you see is an update version of what I used.

I've had 3 people who managed to work it out-but last 2 were 3000 users and used the bottom link-that also works on other models but best for 3000 as it's temporary.

Really pandora does the same effect-differances are it doesn't use a battery to set the system into "recovery" mode, but rather (with use of hen) partially unlocks it just enough to allow homebrew software some space just to jump in and hack it.

The warnings in first post are for 3000 users or those who have an so called un-hackable sytem.

Also-as for format-due to a flaw in my thinking pattern I made it so it's easier for me to understand-it's kinda like a disability in a way-which explains why even my post have a rather odd format to them.

If your not comfortable you can still try buying a pandora-the point of those is not to be used as a regular battery but to enable "recovery" mode to allow system hacking-it is also far easier to do.

The only other option is to let someone do it for you-I've done it before for another user here but alas, your in another country as I gathered :(

If you still want to save money in some way, read it step by step-the "chickHEN" part has no risk what so ever-it's the parts afterwards that have some risk-excluding pspident-it's activated just like a game.

Cheers Tirith.Ill see MDS64s new improved guide when hes edited it.

Have you both noticed that nearly all other guides and videos do not mention potential problems, depending which board is in the console. They must think that all boards are the same....

I've only taken out the crazy symbols that had come out of nowhere-the rest would stay as I've had little issues.

If you want try "chickHEN" and prehaps you'll find an easier guide to getting that to start up-but once you get HEN working then you will have to refer to my guide at somepoint.
