while i agree that the PSP is a nice handheld on its own, i still insist that it cannot hold a candle near a DS in terms of sheer fun.
As nintendo proved with the wii-it's the gameplay not the power-until the power problem is fixed (5 hours-crap-11-hell yeah!) then lower power is better. And no-icecream works best instead of pie
I think Wii proved one thing: Everyone can play games. If not, why game developers are STILL trying to polish their graphics. And I have to disagree-an apple pie would be awesome.
I prefer meat pie-but that is not the issue at hand XD Some improve the graphics to match the game standard-crap graphics but good game normally registers as crap regardless of play (and why some awsome games die ) And others do it to make a truly awful game sell-see transformers on the home consoles...the transformers look awsome-but gameplay sucks worse than a cyclone!
Like which one? If it's a port I see why it ain't the same as other versions... So what is the full name of it? (and what do ou expect-it's a cash in game mate)
I know meat pie! I ate meat-beer one at UK. Awesome! And graphics are important for selling games, because you cant "play" the game without buying it. Videos or paragraphs cant explain a games' gameplay, but pictures can clearly express the graphic level of a game. And considering developers actually want to sell their games, they are usually trying to make good graphics. For example, think No More Heroes without that stylish graphics, or think Bioshock without that incredible details. Both games are classic now, because of the graphic-gameplay harmony (lol I have no word but this).
well i have the psp and its pretty good, I have been looking at some videos on how to install chicken on it, but im not sure if i need the pandora battery , i have a psp 2003
Graphics just hide how crap some games are. Like I said about transformers-idiots will buy it because it LOOKS cool. It plays like ca-ca! I think games just need decent graphics is all...that's why while I own a psp-it's ds all the way. it last longer on a train ride anyways.
The graphics discussion for me is variable. Take for exemple 2 diferent kind of games. One Action - RPG or adventure game and one old-style Turn-based RPG. For the action RPG, graphics arent that important. For the sake of the gameplay, excessive graphics aren't a good idea because of possible slow downs and the fact that the player WON'T gonna have time to enjoy then. Technicaly the "fun" of the game is the battles/events itself. Now lets go for one turn based RPG. Graphics are important here. Since most of the time the game only requires a bit of brain and patience. While selectin the menus and watch you chars do their moves, you have a plenty of time to enjoy the animations and backgrounds. Everything is a point of view. I am not a great fun of turn-based RPGs, so like a dont give a **** for graphics at all.
LoL that's actually vice-versa. Developers think Turn Based RPG games are retro and they usually dont care about graphics, while action is for '00, means gaming devices are much much more stronger now, and its a kinda new genre comparing to Turn based, they try to develop awesome graphics which cant possibly slow down game. For myself, I havent seen a RPG game slowing down...
it's real simple: graphics won't mean shit if the gameplay is terrible. Take Street Fighter IV for example. Here we have a tried and tested vs. game, then they upgraded the graphics to get a more arty feel to it, and the result was a masterpiece that may single-handedly revive the arcades again.
