i think PSP Go will also be a bust, simply because i predict that it would be hard to pirate, and most PSP owners are modders, at least in my country they are.

    Psp 3000 vs any DS:

PSP (GOW and FFVII pretty much own anygame.)

Just check X-Men:Origins in both consoles. You will see.

I think so too, you saw the price man?
250 US$, is Sony crazy or something?

GOW and FFVII are the only titles on the PSP that you can consider A titles, at best.

Obviously, action games would look better on the PSP than on the DS if a game were ported to both. That's not rocket science. Problem is, the DS exclusives are wiping the floor with any PSP game you can imagine, except maybe Monster Hunter 2.

    Hey all.

I think both have attractive aspects, depends what you're after. I myself prefer the DS, mainly down to the absolute barrage of quality titles (Disgaea DS, TWEWY, Knights in The Nightmare, Dragon Quest, GTA to name just a few). That said, there does seem to be some quality titles for the PSP and I wouldn't mind trying out a few. Doesn't seem to be much in the way of innovative, fresh gaming however, as most of the titles are what you probably would have already played to death on the PS2.

Not to mentioned the lack of UMD Drive but the 160 GB internal storage do sounds interesting for modders to abuse.

The screen is smaller so not sure if all games will be compatible, if not will the game producer do something on it. And how the heck UMD owners gonna load the games into it?

To me the design is still weird (worst that SPH 3000 IMHO), it houses on;y 1 analogue control when it can easily house 2 of them, the screen is not protected like the DS so we have to be very careful where we put this baby in.

In graphic wise the PSP do owns the DS but how about gameplay wise and innovative? Where are the J-RPG other than Crisis Core?

If the 2 titles above sweep DS in term of graphic. The the librabry of DS consist of TWEWY, Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, Nintendogs and a plethora of others will slaughter PSP mercilessly.

I own both of it and I still love mu DSL more than the PSP as I can't find much title in PSP that I haven't play on the PS2.

    Wait.... what?

Did you just list Nintendogs as something that will slaughter the PSP? Why not list all the "Imagine" series as well.

Man, you must be either too ignorant or to macho to try that game out. I see nothing wrong in pet sim with creative gameplay. The game sold more copy than most of the PSP games out there and the AI was quite impressive I would say. For a game less than 256 MB of space. Want to try to do that in PSP?

I am not sure about Imagine but Nintendogs is a creative title. Give me one from PSP if you can?

I am not PSP is not fun at all but what is the fun if the only few outstanding games had already been done on the PS2? The only PSP title which I really think is creative was the Patapon and Loco Roco.

Correct if I am wrong, every remake of Final Fantasy for the PSP was nothing but a HD of the game but had you seen the remake for DS on all those retro games? PSP is powerful but lack of killer apps and innovation.

I find it amusing that you completely disregarded the other games kileak mentioned and kept only Nintendogs in there. It proves that Sony nuthuggers are totally ignorant because Nintendogs already did slaughter the PSP.

It IS the best selling DS game after all.

the only reason why people like psp is because of the graphics and the design. BUT dsi has got all that but the graphics maybe a problem, although mario kart ds, animal crossing: wild world, brothers in arms, metriod prime hunters, splinter cell: choas theory have good graphics!

speaking of the PSP, i had a friend that owns a PSP, so i checked it out. you know what i found?

a ton of music and movies, and no games.

i asked "where are the games?", she replied with "the games suck".

and no, i'm not making this up.
