PSP, for the win. It does more things, has bigger screen, has better graphics and doesn't break as easily as the DS.

That's if you're talking about the hinges of the DS breaking or similar, which is fixable by yourself.

emulating as in i meant to say playing roms through the slot-2.

and to answer your other post, i've already told you that i've had to return my DS because of stylus abuse.

Yes, for emulators which emulate capable systems.

PSP! It has quality games (R&C: Size Matters, Daxter, Syphon Filter, God of War: CoO, Lumines, WipEout, Tekken, FFVII: Crisis Core... must I go on?), can play movies, music, PSone games, view pictures, surf the internet, stream internet radio and run Skype, out of the box. Not to mention the capability to emulate a huge number of consoles (NES/SNES/GBx/Sega/Atari, etc) with a simple firmware customization a 10 year old could perform. The DS can't even do half of those out of the box.

EDIT: But, the DS has a solid line up of games and other cool features.

your totally right the psp is amazingly sturdy Ive dropped mine on the floor many times not to mention accidentally throwing it to the other side of my room once or twice and it has never messed up but my friend dropped his ds once and the right trigger popped out and the screen got slightly detached. but one thing i do like about the ds is pictochat its semi usefull

Pictochat is lame. DS Lite is a bit more sturdy, since it's more blocky.

I just like the DS for because of the touch screen. The controls for shooters feels good, mainly cause it's like real aim: not always steady. But true, pictochat has pretty limited use.

I don't like the stylus control mainly because it takes away the function of all of the buttons on the right side of the DS.

I recently got a PSP and I like it and play it so much more than my DS. I could hardly get into DS games and play them for hours on end, unlike my PSP.

So you are saying you play your DS games for hours on end and you could hardly get into DS games, and you like your PSP more? I think you typed your sentence wrong.

awkward sentence structure but I get what he means.

if your choice is hardcore games go for psp
if unique is your type(slashing with a stylus at ninja gaiden) go with the ds
and strategy games for the ds too

oh and the sales of the NDS beat the PSP i think
    theres your answer

I agree with ya blacksun23. I picked out the DS mainly because I don't like compitition. I just wanna have fun and besides, touching is good.

So you're basically saying that NDS games aren't hardcore? (You're right. Most aren't)
    Strategy games have sub-genres too.
I would have to say that the NDS is geared more towards puzzle games, not so much turn-based strategy or RTS or any other strategy type game.

I don't think you can base which handheld is better just by sales.
Just because people bought a lot of it, doesn't make it good. Sometimes there's too much hype.

About games like Pokemon etc., yes. There are some very good games that are "serious" on the DS, but you don't really feel that same feeling when you go to play a game on a console.

the nds beats the psp 46-28(in this thread)
what the nds brings of new gaming experience (i used to enjoy playing with a stylus on a palm. then the ds came out) is more than enough to thwart even the psp's graphics. yes we all know that the psp has better graphics but its name alone means its just like a trimmed ps 2. ps portable. as i said in my first post if youre a hardcore action packed gamer go with the psp. you like unique (there are even interesting games that doesnt use much of the stylus. look at mario back in time. not sure if i got the title right but its where they have their toddler selves like a koala on their back. anyway what this brings is an rpg mario. i know there are already rpg mario games before this but im talking bout the brilliance of the ds) you go for the ds. the psp is not bad i quite enjoy it. the psp can guarantee hours of playing fun but youll need to find another game when you finish the game youre playing or if you enjoyed it then youre going to play it again. but if you run out of games well its just that youll have to wait for more games. the ds on the other hand was made to relieve you from boredom. more than 2000 fun wacky games to burn time and whats even better is the average size of ds games at 30mb i think. so just download and download and play to your hearts content. i think it would take an addicted gamer about a year to play all these games. of course when you get a good game you play it like 3 hours a day for the whole month. then you get a new game but what if its just as excellent as the game you just finished? you play it again for hours and hours. the psp is just like a clone or a mini me(austin powers) of the ps2. well its just sony focuses more on the hardcore games with the xbox 360 already as its rival while nintendo enjoys being a family console. not that it isnt a rival too but if youre a dad and you choose to purchase something that youre whole family will enjoy youll buy the wii or the ds. i cant imagine my grandmama playing halo.
