what's the difference? Post Merge: [time]1298122851[/time] is it for homebrew only, or can I also play psp isos/cso's with it?
It generally known as 'Brite' model, actually. Yes, you can 'hack' it, with Homebrew Enabler(HEN), and play download games through ISO Loader. There is also CFW for 6.35, but it still not stable for 3k/2k models for now. and if that PSP is 3G model(which is very unlikely), you can try downgrade it 5.03 to install more stable CFW on it, but very risky. Use TN-HEN, since you can use ISO Loader on it, compared to HBL which can only run homebrew games on it.
thanks, I shall try it. I've downloaded a cso file Post Merge: [time]1298123544[/time] If you have a firmware below 6.20, we suggest you upgrade to 6.20 or higher, and install one of the above.
There are iso loaders, I tried one on 6.20 on my 3000. Worked fine but some games just didnt want to work.
Hello Athemoe. For your PSP you will in fact have to resort to the Hen hacks or TN ones... As for you and games (ROMS or not), there are ISO Loaders, but I don't wish to get into that as there are many, and it is quite a process :/ To do a semi hack your PSP must be below a certain firmware. You can use either Hen hacks or TN hacks depending on your firmware. It is in fact possible to fully hack all PSP fat's (1000's) completely without the risk of bricking. You will be able to play ROMS & ISO/CSO games on your friends shubby PSP once it is done :I... You will in fact have to buy a pandora battery in order to do it though... http://forum.romulation.net/index.php?topic=52896.0
this... http://www.qj.net/qjnet/psp/620-tn-a-released.html Post Merge: [time]1298146833[/time] http://rapidshare.com/#!download|294l3|90249024|pon.rar|57883 google another if it does not work or download from psn
TN-C was released long time ago, and signed as well. To make it simple, - Update your current firmware to 6.20 - and then download TN-C, and run it directly from XMB.
Nope. You can update directly to whatever firmware you want. I updated from 5.50 GEN-D3 to 6.35 Beta 11.
I believe the ISO folder, which should be in/made in the root of the memory stick (aka when you open the memory stick menu)
Well technically it's always the stick, you can't add files to the psp it's self... Let me explain, when you hook up your psp to a pc while it's on, it access the memory stick. When you just insert the memory stick from the psp into the pc, same place... Accessing the stuff from inside the psp, unless you know what you are doing, can really fuck it up, but also produce cool results if you got a clue on what you are doing... Mind you, this is for psp 2000 and 1000 only, only hard hacked psp's can access this stuff. tldr, it'll always be the memory stick on your 3000
no, I have a lot of maps. ok, iso loader found the cso, but I have a black screen :/ (little big planet)
...some games just don't work i noticed...sometimes patches and other edits affect them. Try making it into an iso instead, that helps sometimes. Google UMD GEN, i think 4 is the latest, and uncompress the cso into an iso, if it doesnt work that means the cso has been altered.
