I honestly do not know much about PSP specs. but, for what it's worth, here is the PSP Go spec sheet (missing vital data such as processor type) for those who would like to compare with the PSP. http://www.mangahunter.com/psp-go-spec-sheet/ I am guessing this is just a redesigned PSP, so all games will work on both systems. Like I say this is just a guess.
Considering the Go has no UMD drive, I don't see how they'd be cross compatible... :-\ If you mean the games we'll be able to download off the PSN Store, then yeah they'll work on both. It isn't like the DSi, it doesn't actually have any new features that could be used in videogames, so there won't be any Go-exclusive titles.
ahem........base on the sony E3 video, PSP Go is just like DSi, which explain why there is no 2nd analog stick. And every game that will be release on PSP go will be release on UMD, atleast that what i understand from the presentation. i kindda glad to hear that.
Well I am glad to hear that. I did read up on Gran Turismo 4 on PSP and it will be released on the PSN as well as on UMD. So I assume that both will use the same games. They will just release each one on the PSN and UMD.
It seems they rushed the creation of the PSPgo, just so they can fight it out in the markets with the DSi...
Yeah, but come on... The DSi alone sold a million units in Europe within two months of launch and it took less than four months to hit 2 million in Japan since launch... I can't see the PSP Go hitting sales figures like that as quickly, especially with that price and the seeming total disregard for all current PSP owners.
But out of those numbers, how many of them were satisfied with the product? they quickly realized it's a DS with 2 cameras and wasted 200$
you need to rewatch the e3 2009 sony conference. there is a moment when kaz hirai says, "...the psp [is] meant as [a] multimedia consumption...." the dsi isn't a multimedia product but a gaming product. however, the iphone and the itouch is the multimedia product. so you'll need to reconsider, is the psp superior to the itouch and iphone, and not rather it is superior to the dsi.
Sorry, but you'd have to be blind to think Sony were doing this to compete with the iPhone. They know they've lost against Nintendo, so they're pulling out all the stops to try to gain back some ground. Releasing the PS3 of handhelds isn't going to help them, sadly.
I was wondering that, but it doesn't close to be happening, I think Microsoft wants to rule the console first before going into the handheld where Nintendo is king
I really don't see any place for a portable xbox console. Their games are very lack luster, and the ones that are well known are FPS like halo. And we all know how FPS just don't work portably.
Yeah but a neat little cube where the screen and pad pop out when turned on and when off can go in your pocket is something people would buy
