LittleBIGPlanet (PS3) Review by ICE-X Graphics 9/10Littlebigplanet's visual style is great, the graphics brighten up the game and make it lively and vivid. Sense I have been playing I have not seen 1 graphical glitch. The frame rate also never shutters. There could have been a few more backgrounds to use in the creation tool though. This game is not an eyesore. Sound 10/10The sound in this game is just phenomenal. All of the sounds add to the environments and they aren't overwhelming at all. In the creation mode you can add sounds to things and tweak them, these sounds are also very good sounding. During the beginning of the game and during the tutorials the voice acting is great, Media Molecule really did a great job on it. Gameplay 10/10LittleBIGPlanet is a platformer. The levels are 2.5D, it is sidescroller but each level has 3 layers. The levels are large. The more hyped up part of the game. the level creation tool is unlike any creation tool that I have ever seen before. It has more objects and items than you can shake a stick at. In the level creator, if you can figure out how to do it, it can be done. While playing online you can find some levels made by normal gamers that look like developer created levels. There are also many ways to customize your sackboy or girl. Playability 8/10Playing this game feels very nice. most of the controls are spot-on and giving you sackboy expressions, moving his head or body, and waving his arms around is also pretty cool. The reason why I am giving the playability a 8/10 is because I have faced some problems switching layers while playing, these problems were not to bad but are a very minor annoyance. Online 9/10Playing online is very fun. Cooperating with other gamers is a fulfilling experience that makes you feel good. You can play the whole game in single player but Media Molecule encouraged it by putting puzzles in the game that require 2,3, or 4 players to accomplish. These are usually rewarded with a cool item or sticker. Sharing levels is also very cool because most of them are very good and fun to play due to the creation tools. The first few days the servers were very slow and got crashed on the 3rd day due to a rush of players. Replayability 10/10The replayability is high just because of two things, this game just never gets old and you can find yourself wasting hours upon hours on it. Overall 56/60Littlebigplanet is instantly recognizable as a PS3 classic. This game is a cute and fun game which you don't see much anymore because of all of the dark FPS's released lately. It is a refreshing break. If you own a PS3 it is necessary to have this game. My friend said that littlebigplanet would suck because you play as a "stuffed sock", he got to play it today and he loved it. Anybody that says littlebigplanet sucks and their reason has to do with sackboy or the cuteness of the game needs to play it before they say anything more about how bad it is. Re: LittleBIGPlanet Nice review, dude, even though it could be a bit more detailed. This game is great, one of the few games for the PS3 that's worth the 70€. A must buy if you have the console and like the genre.
