    I have a memory card with a special firmware that allows me to play copied games.

    yours is probably hardmodded, the softmod is pretty new.

    I beleive if your playing copied PS2 games on your PS2, with no hard work by yourself.....for example patching iso., you have a modchip in your PS2. That could be the only reason why your playing backup PS2 games, without you knowing that your doing anything.

    I've probably confused you more than you already were :p
