So this is a trimmed version... anyone know what was trimmed? Part of the intro? Nothing important?

 

usually trimming only removes empty space that would pad it out to a power of 2 in size. i didn't notice anything missing.

A trimmed rom should only has the excess memory cut. The physical rom is only available at like 8MB, 16MB, 32MB, 64MB, 128MB, and 256MB so if your game's only 200MB big, it'll have the excess 56MB of unused data. This is what rom trimmers would cut. :

i think the puzzle is not so challenging, diabolical box is better
but the storyline is good

 

is it just me or do Layton and Luke sound a bit different.

Best game in the DS for me. Professor Layton has an epic story added with epic puzzles. I never remove Professor Layton in my SD card at all.

Also.. Spamming the screen for hint coins is repetetive.

There's a new feature called "Super Hints". If you pay TWO hint coins, you'll get a really really useful hint that could really help you,

 

Tried on R4 Original:
R4 Kernel 1.18 - Works Perfectly!
YSMenu 1.17a13 (with latest updates) - Doesn't Work!
Wood R4 v1.12 - Works Perfectly!

It works on R4 Kernel 1.18, but doesn't work on YSMenu?

 

The superhint tab should be called "Give you the answer" tab, because that's what it does. Most of the time.

 

Well, at a huge cost. You have to unlock all the other 3 hints first. That's 5 hint coins in total.

 

I don't think he could stretch that smile on the next game. ;P
